With ten thrifty, hardworking generations in Pennsylvania ... we're proud of our Pennsylvania Dutch heritage. We'll continue this tradition of hardwork ... now and into the future.

 

 

As natives of the Keystone State, we're also knowledgeable about statewide attractions. We can make recommendations about what to see ... driving times ... and unique weather conditions. This could make your visit to PA much more enjoyable. Don't hesitate to ask us, we live here!

Since we are small, we have a high demand for our rooms. Reservations are highly recommended and we have a 3 day cancellation policy. We do not allow pets. Stop in, ask to see a room ... you won't be disappointed.

The Pennsylvania Dutch (Deutsch)

Originating in Germany and the Low Countries, these people came to America seeking religious freedom and a better way of life. They were broken loosely into two groups, the Plain People (Amish and Mennonites) and the Gay People (Reformed, Lutheran, etc.). Being farmers, they settled in the rich fertile valleys of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Both groups brought with them traits that still stand after 250 years. Thrifty, hardworking and deeply religious, these people enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. Many are still farmers today, but most have now become skilled craftsmen, contractors and other related jobs.

We, the Beideman family, are of this stock. We offer to you, our valued customers, these same simple values. Simple yet comfortable rooms that are most of all immaculate and well kept. Knowledgeable desk service to help the weary traveler. Reasonable rates for families to stretch the dollar value. This is what we are and what we offer.
