*Our most demanding ride, harder than most centuries
 
This is it; this is the most that we will put ourselves though in a day and as much as we can expect anyone else to try. The 3 main mountain climbs are at the beginning and end, and even though the middle half is fairly flat, there is still an awful lot of climb. Almost the entire ride is on low traveled, back roads, with great views. There are numerous mountain top and ridge vistas, and lots of stores to get food and water. This ride is similar to the 3 State Metric, except that it goes from Berkeley Springs to Virginia and back. This section is the flattest, but still spectacular. If you wish to revisit Berkeley Springs on your way back it is a small detour. There are also several easy outs that will make it easier to get back.
